During our adoption journey, I loved to hear about adoption resources and support groups. Sometimes the adoption world just felt so vast that I didn't know where to start and I just wanted someone who could tell me "check out these places." So as I continue to connect with new people and find "these places" I will list them here in hopes that they help you find out more about resources and support groups.
Quiver Full Adoptions
About quiver full:
Quiver Full Adoptions started because Casey and Elizabeth felt a calling to minister to adoptive parents and help them through the journey to adopt without the financial burden associated. With their marketing and fundraising backgrounds, the Lord equipped both Casey and Elizabeth to create a strategy to help families adopt for under $10,000. Quiver Full Adoptions targets birth mothers right where they are, and have helped their clients match with a birth mother in an average of 78 days, with their average adoption costing $7500. Aside from their marketing approach, Quiver Full Adoptions provides support and encouragement through every step of the adoption process.
I currently have the privilege of creating profiles for Quiver Full clients. They reached out to me after they saw my blog post on Thrive Moms. I am so thankful that they trust me to help showcase the families they work with and I have enjoyed getting to know both Casey and Elizabeth.
East Bay Orphan Care
about East Bay Orphan Care:
East Bay Orphan Care’s response centers on championing care of the orphan, partnering with families that choose adoption, and journeying with them in the days and years that follow.
This organization was started by a long-time friend and pastor who has also grown his family through adoption.
Bethany Christian Services (Northern CA Branch)
Since 1944, Bethany Christian Services has been reaching out to children who are alone or vulnerable. As a worldwide and community leader in adoption and family services, we know that a child's best chance to thrive is as part of a safe, loving, forever family. Our goal is to help expectant parents, and the adoptive families they choose, to make the adoption plan that works best for them and the child they both love.
My husband and I used Bethany as our agency when we started our adoption process. We had (and are still having) an amazing experience with them. They take the time to answer questions, educate, and walk through the process with you. In addition, we were also drawn to Bethany because of the support and counseling they provide to expectant and birth parents both before and after placement.
