Philip & Elizabeth

Last weekend I had the privilege of meeting with my long-time friends Elizabeth & Philip to chat about their adoption plans. They are entrusting me with their family profile and I couldn't be more excited to get started. We met at their BEAUTIFUL home because I wanted my sister Kandace to work her photography magic there.

"We're here!" Kandace took a surprise photo of Elizabeth opening the door.

Philip & Elizabeth are kind, gentle, artistic, and passionate and I can't wait for them to become parents. I have loved sharing my adoption journey with Elizabeth and talking about our joys, fears, prayers, and lots more.

First we met around their kitchen table to chat about their vision for their profile book. I showed them examples of recent profiles I've done so they could let me know what they like and don't like. We also looked through a few magazines and catalogues to get inspired. Of course, Elizabeth and I ooh'd and ahh'd over the latest Anthro catalogue. Then after a little coaching on how to write compelling content, we moved on to the photo shoot!

I love all the attention to detail around their home! It showcases their personalities and creates a warm and welcoming space.

After capturing them inside their home, we moved to the backyard because I couldn't resist getting some shots of their chicken coop! I sort of insisted that Philip & Elizabeth take one out to hold in a photo and it ended up that all the chickens ran out into the yard which lead to some amazing photos of their chickens and their dog in the back yard. I can totally imagine how fun and adventurous this backyard will be for their future kids!

Right when we were finishing up with photos, Elizabeth pulled some amazing pumpkin bread out of the oven and offered us some. A perfect ending to our time together!

I pray that God will bless them soon with a little one for them to love and cherish and I'm so thankful to be a small part of their journey.
